ANTIGONE-Information and Documentation Center on Racism, Ecology, Peace and Non-Violence” is a non-profit organisation headquartered in Thessaloniki that has been active in human rights since 1993.
ANTIGONE aims to:
- safeguard equal opportunities and treatment for everyone without discrimination on the basis of sex, race, national origin, social/economic/educational status, disability, age, religion, sexual orientation etc.
- raise awareness on the issues such as discrimination, racism, social exclusion, fundamental rights, ecology, peace, and non-violence
ANTIGONE carries out its actions jointly with targeted social groups targeted so as to always run according to their needs. The organisation and the people it addresses meet up on an everyday basis. This is how ANTIGONE follows people’s reality and develops activities based on their expectations. ANTIGONE’s activities are targeted at the coexistence, interaction and association of different social groups, so as to develop common action that can lead to their equal participation in the social, economic, and cultural life.
On the basis of achieving the full inclusion of people with disabilities in all areas of society, through the defence and promotion of their rights, the claiming for social change, the strengthening and coordinating of the associative movement and the provision of services which meet their needs and expectations, COGAMI provides the following activities and services: information, counselling and orientation, accessibility and social intervention, labour mediation, self-employment support, occupational, employability and coping with everyday life training, organised leisure activities, personal assistance management, management of resource centres for people with disabilities, strengthening of the associative movement, awarenessrising lectures and information.
Tlab is an Italian national wide no-profit cultural association based in Tuscany; it aims at promoting formal and non formal learning in order to foster personal growth and to facilitate self development and self esteem, employability, social inclusion and active citizenship.
It develops many activities within the framework of local, national and European Programmes, in cooperation with schools, universities, public social and health institutions, cultural and no-profit organizations.
Specific attention is given to people with special needs and with disadvantaged backgrounds. Activities and materials are adapted so to offer a tailor-made response.
Its staff includes trainers and consultants, with more than 10 years experience within the main European educational and social and health Programmes.
Public Institution Valakupiai Rehabilitation Centre (VRC) provides vocational, social and medical rehabilitation services for people with disabilities. A comprehensive rehabilitation model, standardized methods of assessment and development of vocational skills, vocational training programs in VRC contribute to the achievement of better health and inclusion to labour market of persons with disabilities. VRC is a member of the European Platform for Rehabilitation (EPR).
